Data Entry Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering and managing data related to inventory, invoices, GST compliance, and daily operational records. Candidates with knowledge of the food grains and spices processing industry and GST regulations will be given preference. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Management: Accurately enter purchase orders, sales invoices, and inventory details into the company database. Maintain records of processed food grains and spices. 2. GST Compliance: Generate GST invoices and ensure compliance with GST rules. Assist in preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.). 3. Reporting: Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels and financial transactions. Prepare and manage operational data reports for internal and external use. 4. Software Operations: Work with ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Tally, zoho books). 5. Coordination: Collaborate with the accounts, sales, and inventory teams to ensure smooth data flow. Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding billing or order details. 6. Record Maintenance: Ensure all data entries are up-to-date and error-free. Regularly back up critical data. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word). Experience in accounting software (Tally, zoho books). Typing speed of at least 30–40 words per minute with high accuracy. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the food grains and spices processing sector. GST Knowledge: Basic understanding of GST invoicing and compliance. Soft Skills: Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Good communication skills in English and the local language. — Experience 1–2 years of experience in data entry or similar roles.
